When the police and the ambulance came, they covered George’s body with a sheet. After several attempts to resuscitate Mary Anne, they covered her too.
          "What were they doing here?" one of the police officers asked as family members arrived to console Grace.
          His partner shrugged. "I dunno know. The old lady claims she invited them to lunch."
