The cat looks Egyptian with his pointed ears and watchful pose. The boy hunches over his rifle seeking fish just below the surface. The father scans the horizon with searching eyes while resting on his paddle. He knows how easily a cat, a boy and a fur trapper with pelts can disappear. The cat, indifferent to all these dangers, simply looks Egyptian.
