First movie edition with cover-art lifted from movie promo illustration.  The Ridley Scott directed film is, of course, a modern classic, as is the P. K. Dick original from which it was made.  This novel appears on more 'best of' lists than S. King has published titles -- and so it should.  Growing uncommon in this beautiful condition (and I know, because it is a title and edition I hunt wherever I go).  Fine collectible condition.

Illustrated with 30 b/w photographs from the 'golden age' of the sport.  'The big waves -- and the surfers who play at the most dangerous and solitary sport in the world' - cover copy.  Quite uncommmon, only a dozen copies offered on the web and this among the two or three best.

Peter Owen, London, England, 1958.  First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 288 pp. Indexed. Sixteen pages of b/w plates, generous selection of Durer's graceful, incisive drawings. Durer's own words on painting, drawing technique, his early life, his great pictures, and much else, translated and presented in a clear overview by Dr. Werner and W. M. Conroy. This edition (printed in U.S. and bound in Great Britain!) far scarcer than Philosophical Library edition of same year. Offered is a strong VG/VG+ copy of the book, darkening to endpapers, stain to fore-edge, text immaculate, clean and handsome in a dust jacket with half-panel illustr. of Durer's Adam & Eve, spine panel discoloured and with some edge fraying.
