Wilde, Oscar, Teleny, or The Reverse of the Medal,

   Price:  $30.00 Canadian; $26.62 U.S. funds

   Shipping:  $9.00 Canadian, world-wide

Brandon House, North Hollywood, CA, 1967. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good. Photo-cover portrait of Oscar Wilde. First U.S. Edition. 16mo. Authorship for Teleny has been laid at Wilde's door for many moons; it certainly exhibits earmarks of his style. A novel of homosexual erotica, it had several private printings before this first 'public' edition. Like most examples of Brandon House titles we have seen, this example has rubbing to covers; also a strong crease to spine. Nevertheless a square, clean, unmarked copy of a difficult edition of a major world author. Note: when (infrequently) they have it to sell, uninformed booksellers offer this at lower prices than are consistent with its real value.

This is a highly collectable and uncommon edition.
