Doubleday & Sons, N.Y. N.Y., 1991. Pictorial Boards. Near Fine. Colour and b/w Photographs First U.S. Edition. Quarto. 233 pp, indexed. What Presley as cultural icon has accomplished since death in 1977. Guaranteed to provoke a few rogue thoughts in the old pop culture noggin. Not a 'perfect' copy but nice. Book covers nearly unworn. Flimsy d.j. material shows trace creases. Fore-edge of volume very lightly stained, one page corner turned in text. Still 9/10. Great illustrations. Not common even now, this is a 'future collectable'.

MacEwan, Gwendolyn, Noman

   Price:  $14.00 Canadian;  $12.26 U.S. funds

   Shipping:  $7.00 worldwide

General Publishing, New Press Edition, Toronto, Ontario, 1985. Good+. Cover art from a painting by Tom Moore. First Mass Market Edition. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. A slim volume of short stories by prize-winning and charismatic Canadian poet. Not common in any edition. Scraping next to spine and a bit scruffy but solid and still decent. MacEwan's voice was and is unique in world literature -- warm, haunting, lyrical, and sometimes humorous

McMahon, Sean & O'Donaghue, Jo, Taisce Duan, A Treasury of Irish Poems with English Translations

   Price:  $14.00 Canadian;  $12.26 U.S. funds

Shipping:  $9.00 in Canada; elsewhere please email for details.

Poolbeg Press, Dublin, Ireland, 1992. Trade Paperback. Near Fine. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 270 pp. 'Taisce' means Treasure, and this is a treasury of Irish poetry from both literary and folk traditions 17th to early 20th century. Poems printed in Gaelic with facing English translations. This book has the reputation of being 'the real thing', and, though recent, is uncommon.

Macpherson, Jay, Poems Twice Told (The Boatman & Welcoming Disaster)

  Price:  $25.00 Canadian;   $22.18 U.S. funds.

  Shipping:  $9.00 Canadian funds, worldwise.

Oxford Univ.Press, Toronto, Ontario, 1981. Cover Illustration By D.A.B. (illustrator). First Combined Edition. 96 pp. Combines 'The Boatman' (1957) and 'Welcoming Disaster' (1974), the latter very uncommon as an individual volume. Clean, tight and unworn in wraps. Striking calligraphic mask design front and child with teddy bear in an oval to back cover. Some creasing to spine but no damage done to binding. Copyright p. reads '2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7...1981'. Thus, likely  second printing, but as said, both 'Welcoming Disaster' and this are scarce titles. This copy attractive, though not perfect.
