A substantial catalogue marking first modern public exhibition of the forty item group of photographs by Eakins known as 'The Naked Series'. Once regarded as 'salatious', these were chiefly responsible for Eakins' withdrawal from duties as instructor at The Penn. Acad.of Fine Arts. Thus, an important item for both art student and collector.

This chronicles Titus' escape from Gormenghast and is splendidly illustrated with b/w line drawings by Lynch. Relatively uncommon for a recent book. Gift quality copy.
