Don Quixote

Don Quixote sees

gray charcoal lines

on the jagged rock face

I said admit no one

so why

these invading lances

do not cover them

with some hot yellow

twist them gently

into the shape of love

bend them

into an intricate filigree

fashion the most intimate

rope of flowers

riders were here yesterday

surely, they would take the rope

knot it

with the scent of rainbow

seal it

with drops of morning dew

create the most exotic

the most beautiful whips

to urge

their shy Arabian mares

over the chasm

Autumn Sonata

the apricot moon

suspended

in the nakedness

of maple trees

in a night

that is not mine anymore

fog

void of breath

calls from the lake

a slowing heartbeat

blends

with shadow of light

migrating season starts

come

walk to the edge of the shore with me

there will be no goodbyes

just different roads

journeying towards yesterday
